Why automotive manufacturing safety matters
Automotive production runs assembly and component lines using robots, presses, welding, paint processes and heavy materials handling, often at speed and across shifts. Machinery and robot contact, crushing in presses, welding hazards, manual handling and exposure to fumes and substances are key risks.

- Safety footwear and head protection where the risk assessment requires.
- PPE is a last line of defence — it does not replace guarding, robot safeguarding, safe systems of work and training.

- Briefing on guarding, isolation, lockout and what not to bypass.

- Know evacuation routes, assembly points and the alarm.
